Preparation begins for your GCSE courses. Work Experience gets you ready for life beyond school. The Summer Term Mocks session gives you a taste of things to come in Year 11. Many of you will successfully apply to become Prefects in Year 11.

The final year! This is the year you consolidate all the skills and knowledge you have developed over the last 4 years and focus on achieving your very best. Mock exams take place in November and February/March. Co-Opted Governor Position

Frederick Gent School are wanting to appoint 2 new Co-Opted School Governors to join our Governing Body. As a Governor we would like you to have the skills required to contribute to the effective governance, aims and success of the school. As a Co-opted Governor we are looking for someone with skills within one of the following areas:

  • Knowledge and background from a Multi-Agency Team, Social Work, Safeguarding Emotional Health or Child Psychology area.

  • Knowledge and background associated to Finance including budgets.

  • Knowledge and background associated to Behaviour such as Policing, Behaviour management, youth offending etc.

Desirable but not essential criteria:

Knowledge and background within an educational setting; secondary or primary school. Has knowledge of school curriculum, school reports, school process and procedures, Ofsted, previous Governor expertise.
